HW Good Elementary

1. Green Folder: Each day, your child will use the green folder he/she received from the homeroom teachers to transport any papers home. The papers he/she has completed within my classroom are yours to keep.  Also in the folder, there will be any nightly activities or papers that need to be returned back to me.

2. Coins: Your child will be collecting coins for positive behaviors, turning in homework, and making good choices in class.  Those will be used to “buy” various items as rewards. 

Throughout the week your child will have activities that will need to be completed at home in order to practice the skills learned within the classroom environment.

Evening activities may include:

• Spelling practice 
• Sight word flash cards 
• Short stories   
• Comprehension worksheets
• Math fact worksheets
• Math sheets that correspond to the current lesson or review
• An assignment that was not completed within the time designated in the classroom

All activities will provide extra practice that will allow them to gain a better understanding of the concept taught. Any work assigned is already on their level and will be reinforcement for the day's lesson; therefore, it should be able to be completed by your child independently, with your supervision.
